Peter’s Week 8 NFL Fantasy Advice
by peterdean ~ October 30th, 2009.
It’s Halloween, but the school systems are down on scary, so this week we go with a scheme. I recently watched a documentary on this and it inspired my picks for the week. Here we go with this week’s phenoms and phools.
The QBs:
Kyle Orton- Young Obi-Won: He’s got the beard, he’s got the heart, and he faces a Ravens D that gives up the big play.
David Garrard- Han Solo: Garrard scrambled his way into 3TDs the last time. The Titans have given up 19 on the season.

Use the Force young Kyle, and watch out for Ed Reed!
The RBs:
Ricky Williams & Ronnie Brown- Lando Calrissian and Nein Nunb: Something tells me these guys can fly the falcon right into the Jet’s run defense and blow the thing up.
Steve Slaton- Yoda: This guy will bounce around the bad Bills run D that’s already allowed 1100+ on the season.
Kevin Smith- R2D2: Not the flashiest of our cast, but always come through in a pinch, with 10-12 points.
Reggie Bush- Greedo: He’s on the cover of SI and he blabbed to the media about the Saints going undefeated. The Falcons will shoot him under the table. Sit him.

I think Ricky is Lando right? They both must have imbibed.... right?
The WRs:
Andre Johnson- Boba Fett: Remember how bad-ass you thought Boba Fett was only to see him beaten by his own rocket pack. The Pass D is the only thing good about the Bills and AJ is questionable. Even if he goes say no!
Donald Driver- Wedge: He used to be co-pilot to Brett Favre’s arm. You know he’s insulted by the “best team ever” comment.
Chad Johnson- Princess Leia: I say Johnson, because he admitted yesterday on ESPN that his driver’s license does not say Ochocinco. He was serious and focused in the interview. His crazy lights out game is coming next week when he sends Ed Reed “into the garbage chute, phlyboy.”

Help me Obi-Wan, you're our only hope.
The TEs:
Donald Lee- Wicket: Jermichael Finley is injured and it’s time for an unexpected hero to step up. Lee
Mercedes Lewis- Sand People: This beast will carve through the Titan’s poor pass D even better than he did the last time. (76 and a TD)
The Big D:
The Jaguars- Chewbacca: It’s true they have the least amount of fantasy point of any defense, but they get Vince Young who gets the start. In an interview earlier this week Young complained that he wouldn’t get the credit if they won, but would get the blame in defeat. The Jags are gonna eat this kid alive!

Think that's good? You should see him fumble recover.
The Big Game:
Atlanta @ NO- Episodes 1-3: Everyone is talking about what a huge game this could be, but I have this sinking feeling it’s a bust. We already discussed Reggie, Michael Turner feels a little like Watto, the Saint’s RBs feel like the Gungans- look cool, but turn into Jar-Jar Binks (Atlanta hasn’t allowed a 100 yard rusher all season), in fact the only redeeming character in this drama not named Brees or Wan is:
Roddy White- Darth Maul: Had 15 catches for 222 yards and a TD in his last two games against the Saints.
THE Game:
Minnesota @ Green Bay- Episodes 4-6: This game has everything! Revenge, betrayal, good vs. evil. Believe it or not, you already know how this game plays out.
Aaron Rogers- Luke Skywalker: The young buck who defies lasers and pass rushers alike. Play him.
Brett Favre- Darth Vader: He returns to the stadium as the biggest villain of them all. Start him as a last resort.
Ted Thompson- Old Obi-Wan: Brett wants nothing more than to strike a blow to the heart of his old master. He just sits there and doesn’t play.
Brad Childress- The Emperor: Laughing until the end.
Green Bay- The Force: For some time Brett was Green Bay, but before him come the aura of Packers’ past: Bart Starr, Sterling Sharpe, Ray Nitschke, Reggie White, Jerry Kramer, Curly Lambeau, Coach Lombardi. All these names are bigger than Brett.

We all know how this war ends!
Good Luck in Week 8!
P.S. This is your week 8 reminder to stash Jim Sorgi and Donald Brown for Weeks 16 and 17 (iph you’re nutty enough to play in week 17).
